Store Policies

Thank you for supporting our small, family run flower farm! Growing dahlias is a joy and we want you to have a great experience purchasing from our farm and growing our flowers in your own garden. Please note our store policies below before you make your purchase!

TUBER GUARANTEE:

Tubers will arrive with at least one eye and an intact neck and body. Tubers come in all shapes and sizes--some are very large, some long and thin and some fairly small. Even small tubers grow to be healthy plants, so please do not judge a tuber by its size alone. We only send out tubers that we would be happy to receive ourselves! Thusly we will not give refunds based on size or cosmetic appearance of a tuber received.

Please inspect your tubers upon delivery and contact us within 7 days if you have any concerns about what you have received. After 7 days, we consider you to be satisfied with what you've received from us.

Please understand that we are not responsible for poor performance due to inclement weather, poor growing conditions, pests, negligence or suboptimal plant performance.

VIRUS POLICY:

We take dahlia virus very seriously. We rigorously cull suspicious plants from our fields and sanitize our tools in between every plant while harvesting flowers and also while dividing tubers. We practice organic pest control methods and have educated ourselves on symptoms of various plant viruses that affect dahlias and act on that knowledge accordingly. We do not offer customer u-pick on our farm to minimize the risk of cross-contamination between plants. Our tubers and fields are also inspected and approved by the State of Washington Department of Agriculture. Every package shipped from our farm is labeled with a Nursery Stock Inspection Certificate issued by the Department.

Even with all of these safeguards in place, we recognize that dahlia plants can be infected with a virus and show no symptoms, and that the American Dahlia Society estimates that anywhere from 40%-85% of all dahlia stock carries one or more viruses. By purchasing our dahlia tubers, you accept that there is no guarantee against dahlia virus and we do not refund for dahlias that appear infected in your garden.

SHOPPING CART:

Items are not reserved in your shopping cart until you complete checkout. Orders are only confirmed once you receive an order confirmation number.

SHIPPING:

All orders are shipped via USPS mail for a flat rate shipping fee of $15.00. We will combine shipping on your second or more orders with the discount code "COMBINESHIP". You may use this code at checkout to take shipping fees off of subsequent orders. We will not refund shipping if you do not use the code to combine shipping, as this is what triggers our system to combine your orders.

We only ship within the United States. Tuber orders start shipping in April after all danger of freezing temperatures has passed.

LOCAL PICKUP:

We do offer on-farm pickup for local customers. You may opt for local pickup at checkout by checking the "local pickup" box. Local pickup will be in April and you will receive an email with instructions.

Customers that require shipping after opting for local pickup will incur a $25 shipping and handling fee and orders will not be shipped until the shipping fee is paid.

Orders not picked up or shipped by May 15th will be considered abandoned and will be returned to stock. Refunds are not given for abandoned orders.

 SUBSTITUTIONS AND CANCELLATIONS:

We do not offer substitutions. If one or more tubers in your order become unavailable due to stock loss, you will be notified and refunded for those tubers.

We cannot cancel or change orders once they have been placed.
